After spending a brief time as a foetus I was born in sunny Sussex - sharing my birthday with Douglas Adams (I also share his method of making the perfect cup of tea - milk first - obviously). Living in Madrid since 2015, I'm a painter and textile designer interested in materials, process and surface quality and a love of pure colour (and an intense dislike for bare lightbulbs). I design all my fabrics using my paintings as a starting point, often taking details and playing around with them in a repeat format until I have hit the sweet spot of something fresh and timeless. My paintings are often inspired by Fifties textiles and design, so my work process and source of inspiration feed into each other. I also work as a digital compositor on feature films - most recently the stunning hand drawn animated feature Klaus.
